We can no longer ignore online visibility: it’s essential. We noticed during the crisis of recent years that it’s a tough pill to swallow if you’re only visible offline. The quickest way to gain online visibility is through advertising. But how do you ensure that your online ads reach the right audience?
Using Email Addresses in Ads
If you’ve gathered a reasonable number of email addresses from your customers, you can use these for your online ads. Naturally, you don’t want to shoot in the dark, so targeting a specific selection is advisable. This way, you ensure that your ads are shown to people who are genuinely interested and might already be familiar with your organization. This approach can save you money and help you generate more revenue.
Creating and Passing Segments
With the Marketing Tool in TritonX, it’s super easy to create a selection. You can build a segment based on purchasing history, gender, activity, and more. You can then pass this segment to Google Ads and/or Meta (Facebook/Instagram) via the Social Connect module. You can choose to do this once or automate it daily, weekly, or monthly. In Google and/or Meta, you can then further refine your ad. You use the passed segment as your target audience or to exclude specific individuals.
Example: Promoting a New Collection
You’ve received a new collection from brand X in your store and want to set up an ad campaign around it. Within TritonX, you can create a segment. For example, you could choose customers who have purchased at least one item from brand X in the last 12 months. You can then use this segment in your marketing ‘advertising’ campaign. The email addresses of this specific group will be used to ensure that the ad targets these customers.
Example: Look-a-Likes
You want to reach new customers but want to do it as precisely as possible. For instance, you could pass a segment of all your active customers to Google and/or Meta, enabling you to target look-alikes. This helps you reach potential new customers who share many similarities with your current customer base.
Example: Excluding People
In addition to targeting segments, you can also use segments to exclude certain people from specific ads. For example, you might exclude customers who recently made a purchase or those who frequently return items.
Safely Passing Email Addresses
Through the Social Connect module, the email addresses from customer profiles are passed to Google and/or Meta using an email hash. This allows Google and Meta to match individuals without transmitting personal data.
What is an Email Hash?
An email hash creates a unique serial number based on the content of an email address. You can think of it as a type of converter. This way, data like email addresses can be securely transmitted without the risk of fraud. It also ensures that each email address is unique.
