The optimization of the pricing interface with the LIV’ cash register has been completed. This update includes the following improvements:
Exchanging items with a closed account:
A common complaint was that exchanging an item with a coupon or points discount applied was complex. Previously, the returned item had to be fully processed (receipt completed) and a refund issued before the coupon or points became available again. In the latest pricing interface, we’ve streamlined this process. In API REST v18, tritonX will check if the cash register has scanned a return item and if a new item has been sold. If a coupon or points discount was applied to the returned item, tritonX will immediately apply this discount to the newly sold item. This allows you to process exchanges on a single receipt, with the applied tritonX discounts directly recalculated.
Stack discount Mix & Match available from 1 Item:
In the previous version of tritonX’s Mix & Match module, a minimum of two items in the shopping cart or receipt were required for the discount to be calculated. “Mix & Match” implies multiple items, but in practice, stack discounts often start from just one item, with discounts increasing as more items are purchased. Now, stack discounts are available from just one item. For example, if a customer gets a 10% discount for 1 item, 20% for 2 items, and 30% for 3 items or more, they will now receive a 10% discount even if only one item is purchased.
Omnichannel Discount Code applied after Mix & Match:
In the new pricing interface, the order in which Omni Channel Discount Code discounts and Mix & Match discounts are applied has been adjusted. Previously, the Discount Code was applied first, followed by the Mix & Match discount, which didn’t seem logical. Since Mix & Match is a promotion, you may want to determine if a Discount Code should be valid for promotions. Now, Mix & Match discount is calculated first, and then the system checks whether the Discount Code is valid in combination with the Mix & Match discount (based on the discount code rule).
Items on approval:
The same version 18 of the pricing interface also includes a check to determine if items are marked as “on approval” for a customer. When an item is designated as “on approval,” tritonX will no longer process it. Previously, for example, loyalty points were granted on the item, but if the “on approval” item was sold later, it was processed again. It is important that the cash register sends this marker and uses REST version 18.
