As a retailer, how do you make sure that you continue to surprise the customer? Or that a new customer returns to the store after a while, so that they become a regular customer? These are the central questions that most retailers currently have. The transition to e-commerce makes that many customers only buy once from a retailer, but a customer is only a real customer if they have made a repeat purchase.
Coupons by tritonX
The coupon module in tritonX exists to solve these questions. This module supports the retailer in creating a creative loyalty program. There are many different ways in which the coupons can be used. That way you can really surprise the customer. When you set up this module once, the rest happens automatically. For example, the coupon can be used for a customer’s birthday. Also, the one customer where something went wrong can be personally rewarded with a coupon for the next purchase. In addition, loyal customers that you would like to invite at the start of the season can also be tempted with something extra. A coupon can also be created in tritonX whereby every new customer receives a €7,50 discount with a minimum spending of €25,00, as in the example below.
A coupon discount is settled by tritonX real time and proportionally distributed to all items for which the coupon is valid. A minimum spending amount can also be defined here. Making selections for which the coupon is valid works in the same way as with the personal pricing module. This can, for example, be a 10% discount on all “jackets” of the “State of Art” brand. The big difference with the personal pricing module is that the coupon only works once.
De different uses of coupons
There are 4 different ways to issue coupons to a registered customer:
- Manual: for example, by customer service
- Automatically via a marketing trigger: for example, for new customers, a customer’s birthday, or to good customers that have not been in a while.
- Via a campaign: selected customers then receive a coupon for example at an event or the start of the sale.
- Via an API issued by an external application (such as a loyalty app or a lead generation site): for example, a code that the customer can enter into the app and as a result, the customer receives a coupon via tritonX.
The coupons issued to customer are available for all external systems such as the cash register, web shop, and loyalty app. As soon as the customer is looked up or logged in, the coupons are available and therefore also visible to the customer. If the coupons are used, this will be processed real time in tritonX. This module ensures that the loyalty program is ready for omnichannel. All of this works through the personal pricing interface in tritonX.
